Privacy Policy

Dayseries is a personal productivity app made by Second Kick Moto LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains how Dayseries handles your information. In short: Dayseries is designed so your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud account. We operate no servers, and we do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.

Data you create in the app

Your tasks, notes, goals, events, and related content are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. If you have iCloud enabled, this data syncs through your own private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit so it is available across your devices. We have no access to your iCloud data. Dayseries also writes periodic JSON backups of your data to your own iCloud Drive (Files → Dayseries → Backups), or to the app's local documents folder when iCloud Drive is unavailable; you can delete these files at any time. This sync is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Artificial intelligence

Dayseries's AI features (assistant chat, task extraction, goal enhancement, recaps) run entirely on your device using Apple's Foundation Models framework, the offline model built into iOS. Dayseries does not integrate with any third-party AI service, aggregator, or gateway. The content these features read, including any Google Calendar events you have synced, is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any AI model provider, for training or for any other purpose. We do not use any of your data, including Google user data, to create, train, or improve AI or machine-learning models.

Voice dictation

When you dictate, Dayseries uses Apple's Speech framework to transcribe your speech to text. To provide accurate transcription, your audio may be processed on Apple's servers rather than solely on your device; this processing is performed by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. Dayseries itself does not receive, store, or transmit your audio — only the resulting text, which is saved locally on your device like any other content you create. Microphone access is used only while you are actively dictating.

Apple Calendar (optional)

If you choose to connect Apple Calendar, Dayseries asks iOS for full access to the calendars on your iPhone (iCloud, and any Google, Exchange, or other accounts you have added in iOS Settings). Dayseries reads those events to show them alongside your tasks, and creates, edits, or deletes events only when you do so in the app. All of this happens on your device through Apple's EventKit framework. Calendar data is cached locally and is never transmitted to us or to any third party. You can disconnect in the app at any time, and you can revoke access under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars.

Google Calendar (optional)

Google Calendar is off until you choose to connect it in Settings. This section describes exactly what Google user data Dayseries accesses, how it is used, with whom it is shared, and how long it is kept.

What Google user data Dayseries accesses

Dayseries requests two Google Calendar scopes:

  • calendar.readonly — to list your calendars and display your events alongside your tasks.
  • calendar.events — to create, edit, and delete events from within Dayseries, so you can manage your schedule without leaving the app.

Through these scopes Dayseries reads the list of calendars on your Google account (names, colors, and identifiers) and the events on the calendars you choose to show: title, start and end time, all-day flag, location, description, and attendee names or addresses. Dayseries does not request access to your Gmail, Drive, Contacts, Photos, or Google profile.

How Dayseries uses it

Your Google events are shown next to your tasks and habits in the day and week views so you can plan around them, and the on-device AI recap can mention them when summarizing a period (see Artificial intelligence above; nothing leaves your device). Dayseries writes to your Google Calendar only in response to an action you take in the app: creating, editing, or deleting an event. If you edit or delete an event that has other guests, Dayseries asks Google to notify them, which is how Google Calendar normally handles guest changes. Dayseries does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, analytics, or to train AI or machine-learning models.

Who Dayseries shares it with

No one. We operate no servers, so Google user data never reaches us, and we do not transfer, disclose, or sell it to any third party, advertiser, data broker, or AI service. Calendar and event data moves directly between your device and Google's APIs. Dayseries keeps a copy of your events on your device, and if you have iCloud enabled that copy syncs to your other devices through your own private iCloud account, like the rest of your Dayseries data; Apple acts only as the storage provider for your private account and we have no access to it. Access tokens are stored in your device's Keychain and are not synced.

Retention and deletion

Dayseries keeps the on-device copy of your Google events only while Google Calendar is connected. When you disconnect in the app, Dayseries revokes its access with Google, deletes its access tokens, and removes every synced Google event from your device and from your iCloud copy. Deleting the app, together with its iCloud data, removes everything else. You can also revoke Dayseries's access at any time at Google Account permissions; the next time Dayseries tries to sync it will find its access gone and treat the calendar as disconnected.

Dayseries's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we do NOT do

We do not run any backend server. We do not collect analytics, usage data, advertising identifiers, or crash data. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell or share your data. We do not use your data to train any model.

This website

This page and the rest of secondkickmoto.com are separate from the app. The site sets no cookies, builds no profiles, and collects no personal data and no cross-site tracking identifiers. We count page visits with anonymous, aggregate, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no personal profiles). The app itself still collects nothing.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives only on your device and your iCloud account, you control it entirely. Delete individual items in the app, or delete the app and its iCloud data to remove everything. Google Calendar data is covered in its own section above: disconnecting removes it from your device and iCloud copy, and you can revoke access via your Google Account.

Children

Dayseries is not directed to children under 13.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Since we do not collect or hold your personal data, we cannot access, export, or delete it on your behalf — you already have full local control. Apple and Google act as independent processors for the platform services described above.

Changes

We will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date when this policy changes. When a change is material, the app asks you to agree to the updated policy before you continue using it.
